Haiti

I don’t know if it was motion sickness or seeing sights I had never seen before, but it wasn’t 30 minutes into Haiti, I was on the side of the road dry heaving, trying not to breathe in sewage smells.

What am I doing here?

Dreams

TBH I’ve been avoiding UL like the plague. Not because I’m at a loss for words or anything. I guess it’s the feeling of ‘look at me’ that gives me slight anxiety...

Alas, this introvert is figuring out how to step up onto a public platform. #stillwobbling

I was making the slightest moves and receiving immediate replies back. “I see you!” + words of encouragement. Eep! People are watching + listening. What if I misstep or worse, look like a fool? Okay, so not my most faith-filled moments… I was created to create. #progressnotperfection

A Week in the Desert

I’m only a few days back from the desert and I miss it terribly. I had no idea I'd be so fond of dry land. If I go missing in winter months...look in Arizona?

I visited Phoenix in February and met incredible creatives at the bloguettes conference. It was a jam packed 2 days of learning seo, social media, photography, content creation, pitching and more. Cupcakes, rooftop socials, and sun soaked lunches during our down time.

Making a Move

Ah, making a move. Do I go left, where nothing's right? Or to the right, where perhaps it’s more appealing? Maybe I’ll just stay put where I think it’s more comfortable, but is actually uncomfortable, but probably more comfortable than taking any action at all? (Romans 7:15, anyone?)

Thirty by Thirty

2017 was a beautiful, freeing, difficult life-giving year.

I started my 28th year on a train ride across the country. The train took me to San Francisco and I ended my trip in Napa Valley. (I’m yet to be convinced there is a more beautiful drive than the coast of hwy 1)

Since then I have done things I would have dreamed of writing on a thirty by thirty list.
